What a setting! Surrounded by majestic mountains, the sparkling lake and the famous villas of movie stars, the FEFI meeting in May had a truly spectacular backdrop. The atmosphere among the participants was just as inspiring. Whether it was Pintrip from Denmark, Nortrip from Sweden and Norway, Brit Stops from the United Kingdom or Agricamper from Italy, everyone agreed that authentic travel experiences beyond traditional campsites are more popular than ever. Although Nico Núñez from España Discovery was unable to attend this year’s meeting, he sent his greetings from Spain, ensuring that the Spanish network was represented as well.
All FEFI members have their roots in the French concept. France Passion, the pioneer of the movement, has been operating successfully for more than 30 years. FEFI stands for Fédération Européenne de la Formule Invitations. Today, almost all member concepts have gone fully digital. France Passion remains the only exception, continuing to publish its well-known guidebook alongside its app.
One of the main topics during the workshops was how to make cross-border travel even easier for members. With its network spanning Germany, Austria and Switzerland, Landvergnügen already serves as a successful example. Nortrip has also established a cross-border concept, covering both Sweden and Norway.
Of course, there was also plenty of time to enjoy the Italian summer. This years host Pauline from Agricamper, who recently joined Landvergnügen at the CMT trade fair in Stuttgart, Germany this year, had organised a wonderful programme. Highlights included a boat trip to the peninsula of Lovedo, dinners in charming restaurants in Lecco, outstanding Italian cuisine and excellent local wines.
It was a wonderful reunion, full of inspiring conversations and fresh ideas for strengthening our European network. See you next year in Denmark!
